Bridgestone Invitational 2011

The 2011 WGC Bridgestone Invitational will be played between the 3rd and 7th of August on the South Course at Firestone Country Club, Ohio. The Bridgestone Invitational is the third of four World Golf Championship events held in 2011 and features players from both the PGA Tour, European Tour, Asian Tour and Japan Golf Tour.

Bridgestone Invitational Player Selection

There are a number of criteria by which players were selected for invitation to the 2011 WGC Bridgestone Invitational including:

Members of the United States and European Ryder Cup teams who played in 2010 PGA players ranked in the top 50 of the Official World Golf Rankings (one and two weeks before the Bridgestone Invitational) Winners of worldwide tournaments since the previous year's Bridgestone Invitational who also have an Official World Golf Ranking strength of Field Rating of 115 points or more. Winners of a selected tournaments from the following tours; PGA Tour of Australasia, Sunshine Tour and Asian Tour Winners from two selected tournaments from the Japan Golf Tour
