Keegan Bradley narrowly won the PGA Grand Slam of Golf despite developing a significant lead over Schwartzel in the first three rounds of the tournament. It was Rory McIlroy who looked in contention to fight Bradley for the win on the last day after they finished the third round tied in first place. However, Charl Schwartzel was able to reduce the gap by 6 shots in the fourth hitting a 65 on the par 71 course and equalling the Port Royal Golf Course record. Schwartzel’s fourth round card included 5 birdies in a row as he produced the same kind of form as in The Masters where he hit 4 consecutive birdies make his way to the top of the leaderboard. Unfortunately, Schartzel’s efforts weren’t enough to secure first place but they did give a comfortable second place finish.
