The Shell Houston Open purse was $6,400,000 for the 2014 tournament at the Golf Club of Houston in Humble, Texas. The winner of the 2014 Shell Houston Open after a 1 hole play-off, Matt Jones, collected the 1st prize payout of $1,152,000 and 500 FedEx Cup points. The win has also secured the final place at The Masters, Matt Jones is 7th Australian to join the 97 strong field at The Masters 2014.

In second place Matt Kuchar received $691,200 prize winnings and 300 FedEx Cup points and in third place Sergio Garcia collected a $435,200 payout.
