US Open Prize Money

The US Open purse was $8,000,000 for the 2014 tournament at Pinehurst No. 2 in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Germany’s Martin Kaymer dominated the event winning with a 8 shot lead to collect the 1st prize payout of $1,620,000.

Tied in second place Rickie Fowler and Erik Compton received $789,330 prize money, Keegan Bradley, Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson, Henrik Stenson and Jason Day shared fourth place to collect $326,310 prize winnings each and tied in 9th place Adam Scott, Jimmy Walker and Brandt Snedeker pocketed $230,900 payouts.

The defending champion, Justin Rose finished tied in 12th place for a $156,679 share of the prize fund.
