In 2nd place, Scott Piercy collected $1,018,000 prize money and 315 FedEx Cup points. While Matt Kuchar, Jordan Spieth, Kevin Chappell and Jason Day tied 3rd place for $449,250 payouts and 140 FedEx Cup points each.

The prize fund at the Bridgestone Invitational increased by $250,000 compared to the 2015 tournament purse of $9,250,000. The winner's payout at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational also increased by $50,000. The 2015 WGC Bridgestone Invitational winner and defending champion, Shane Lowry, collected the Firestone prize money winner's check of $1,570,000.
