At the 2015 Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass 26 year old Rickie Fowler outdueled Sergio Garcia and Kevin Kisner to take the title, coming back from five shots down. Fowler is currently playing the best golf of his career and many feel it is because of big changes in the Rickie Fowler swing.
The Rickie Fowler Swing in Slow Motion
Sometimes, even if you are a seasoned PGA pro your swing goes awry. And that seemed to be the case for Rickie Fowler in 2011. He then made the switch to work with Bruce Harmon and significantly altered his swing. In this video the differences in Rickie’s swing since he began working with Harmon are broken down very well by golf pro coach Matt Holman.
And in this video Fowler himself details some of the changes he made to improve his swing (as well as his golf fitness.)
The lesson that the average golfer can take from Fowler is that the same swing may not always serve you well for your entire golfing life and that anyone’s swing is always a work in progress and that by realizing that fact they may be able to significantly improve their game as well.
